Bailey's Texels

We established our Texel flock in 2003 with the purchase of 5 in lamb ewe hoggets from Muiresk Flock. One of those original ewes has made the biggest influence on the flock. She has bred a National Champion in 2005 and a Blessington Champion in 2006 selling for a record €38,000 and his ET Brother sold for €18,000. Since then further purchases have been made from the best Texel Flocks including, Glenside, Cairness, Laurelbank and Chessy, increasing our Flock number to 80 ewes (approx.) We purchased Forkins Nijinsky for €28,000gns who has bred very well and sired the National Champion 2008, First Prize senior ewe lamb and 1st prize senior ram lamb. He also sired joint top priced lamb at Blessington and top price at Athenry and Blessington.
